Earnings Disclosure
At FreshUpReviews (“the Website,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), trust and transparency are the foundation of everything we do. I’m Camilla Peterson, health researcher and founder of this platform. My mission is to provide thoroughly researched, unbiased health product reviews. To keep our content free and the lights on, the Website generates revenue in a few clear ways. This Earnings Disclosure explains exactly how we make money—so you never have to guess.
1. Our Guiding Principle
Before diving into the details, here’s the most important thing: our opinions are never for sale. Whether a product is reviewed, how it’s rated, or what we say about it is determined solely by our research and editorial standards. Revenue generation never influences the integrity of our content. If a product doesn’t meet our bar, we say so—plainly and publicly.
2. How FreshUpReviews Earns Money
We use three main monetization methods. All are designed to keep the site free for you while supporting the countless hours of research, writing, and maintenance behind every review.
A. Affiliate Links (Reader-Supported Purchases)
Most of our income comes from affiliate marketing. This is how it works:
- Some links on FreshUpReviews are “affiliate links.” If you click one and make a purchase (or sometimes just take an action like signing up for a free trial), we may receive a small commission from the retailer.
- This commission comes at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the merchant.
- We only link to products and services that we have thoroughly vetted and believe are worth considering. Many products we review do not have affiliate programs, and we review them anyway because they’re relevant to your health.
- We currently participate in affiliate programs such as (but not limited to): Amazon Associates, ShareASale, Impact, and various individual brand partnerships. A full list is available upon request.
For further details, read our Affiliate Disclosure page, which is included as part of this disclosure.
B. Sponsored Content & Paid Partnerships
Occasionally, FreshUpReviews accepts payment to publish sponsored articles, dedicated reviews, or branded mentions. When this happens:
- The content is clearly and conspicuously labeled as “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or similar, at the top of the page.
- We only accept sponsorships from brands that align with our commitment to science-backed, ethical health products. We turn down the vast majority of sponsorship offers.
- The fact that a post is sponsored does not mean we endorse the product; we disclose the relationship, and our editorial voice remains unchanged. We still apply our research standards and will note any limitations honestly.
C. Display Advertising
We may also earn revenue from banner ads or similar display advertising (e.g., Google AdSense). These ads are generally targeted based on the page content or your browsing history and are served by third-party networks. We do not directly control the content of every individual ad, but we strive to keep the ad experience clean and relevant. Any revenue from these ads helps offset hosting and research costs.
3. Why We Use These Methods
Running a rigorous review website is a full-time job. The funds we receive allow us to:
- Purchase health products and supplements independently for first-hand testing.
- Access paywalled scientific journals and databases.
- Maintain a secure, ad-free (or minimally ad-supported) reading experience.
- Pay for professional tools and services that help us keep content accurate and up to date.
We believe in this model because it means you, the reader, never have to pay a subscription fee to access life-changing health information.
4. Our Uncompromised Editorial Promise
No matter how we earn:
- We never accept payment in exchange for a positive review.
- Ratings and recommendations are based strictly on our research rubric: ingredient quality, scientific evidence, brand transparency, and real-world user feedback.
- If a product changes its formula or ethics, we update our review—even if it means losing affiliate commissions.
- If we discover an error, we correct it openly.
5. A Personal Note from Camilla Peterson
“When I founded FreshUpReviews, I knew the wellness space was full of misleading marketing. I wanted to build a place where you could get the full, unfiltered truth. Part of that truth is admitting that this site needs revenue to exist. I’m profoundly grateful to every reader who supports our work by clicking a link or simply sharing a review. Please know that I treat that trust with the weight it deserves. If you ever have questions about how we operate, my inbox is open.”
– Camilla Peterson, Health Researcher & Founder
